Keep it Classy, Keep it Mid length!

I often struggle with my thoughts about my own life, my own choices and my passion. TBH, I have no clue about what my calling in life is- as in what I am supposed to do with my mind, how am I supposed to apply it and in what direction! And this struggle has made me so chaotic in the head that I am clueless as to where am I headed! I like fashion, but what aspect of fashion, not sure! I like writing as well, speaking as well……but all this does not define my passion. Maybe I am not supposed to have a passion, maybe I am one of those floating kinds, who just don’t get rooted at a spot and probably carry on drifting…..do you guys feel the same?

Well that was about my state of mind, now to my state of fashion! lol
Soon we shall be entering the wintry phase of our lives, but before that lemme put across a few posts which could not make it to the blog, earlier. My unending love affair with all things summer, with a dash of autumn!
Words of the wise-first!

So here we are polka doting our way into this post!

This gorgeous midi dress has been a favourite as far as I can remember!Has a belt to tie at the back and give the body an hour glass shape! Paired it with burgundy heels in the spirit of autumn fashion and the regality of style is for everyone to see!

Also since the over all look becomes empowering, keep it easy on the make up! I am a big champion of natural looking skin with fresh eyes and lips! Accessorised with bare minimum- just a pair of golden hoops!

So did you like it? This dress is one of my favourite ones, simply because it looks great, feels great and is timeless!! Write back to me your take on it!

Until next time,
love n light!

The Never Ending Charm of Maxi Dresses!

Hello you wonderful people! How you all doing? Plenty of reasons to be happy and joyous, I hope! Also hoping that you are finding little joys everyday that add to big happiness! For those of us waiting for big moments to fill up our days with bliss, let me tell you the futility of the exercise! It never is the big ones and it never comes along….. you always happen to find love and joy and contentment in the most basic of things and thoughts!

Hope that is a good thought to start reading this post further! Lol
Before we begin a small visual thought to keep you afloat!

I am sure like me, many of you are always confused about what you like better: Mini dresses, Midi Dresses or Maxi Dresses! Well its no crime to like all three equally! Since I spoke about a ‘cute as button mini dress’ in my last post, I decided to show some love to Maxi Dresses! So here I am…..

This floral number is a perfect fit for beach soirees, brunches, house parties, evening outs- basically for everything! It is a strappy number which fits like a glove! It has a buttoned detail on the front and a tie up system at the back!

I have tried to keep the accessories minimal, with just a pair of large hoops to complete the look… Not even wearing any footwear in this shoot, but you can always go for a pair of tie ups, sandals or even stilettos depending upon the occasion! Make up as usual, with me is soft, glowy and fresh!

I hope you liked my take on Maxi dresses! Of course, It can be personalised as per your wish, so keep experimenting!
Until next time,

Some Yellow to make your Heart all Mellow!

Hola!! How you lovely people doing? Jumping straight into the post today, I think yellow is my new favourite, I am just so bowled over the charm this bright, beautiful color brings into your personality. A lot of people might not agree with me, but trust me I have has some fabulous results with the colour. I would suggest, in case you feel a little overpowered by this colour, keep it styled to the minimum. I mean dont go all fancy and overboard with it, by pairing it with other colours, try and neutralise it with a pastel colour, bare minimum make up and perhaps light accessories. But showing it  is better than saying it! So c’mom let me show you how spectacular yellow can look!

Our mantra- one beautiful thought from me to you!

So here we go! The Yellow Mellow way of dressing up! Keep in mind, its totally, totally upto you to let colours define you or your personality! You can define them instead!

So this cute as a button yellow dress with tiered detailing at the bottom is full sleeved and flared! It has a boat neck structure, with a tie up front. So all in all a WINNER!As always the versatility of any clothing piece depends upon how you want to style it.

Well I decided to stay fun and sporty with the look. Paired with dull gold loafers which helped me take off the overpowering vibe of the dress, plus dull gold and yellow is magical together! Fresh dewy skin with simple hoops for jewellery- I am good to take on the world! Are you?

Well, Well! I hope you changed your mind about yellow and will be more warm towards it the future, maybe?
Until Next time!

But most of all I have been waiitng to write to you all…..
How many of you feel you are stuck up with something, whereas you belong somewhere else? From what i have realised about myself, I am pretty sure my passion lies with fashion. Speaking about it, thinking about how I can style something…that sort of a thing!Even though I am doing it, I am doing it on a very small scale…

So lets get started with what I like doing best- speaking of a new way in which style matters to me!

Before we begin, we stick to the ritual of sharing something motivational!

So a lovely brown polka dot skirt paired with a beige top would conjur up different things in your imagination-but all great, I believe! So today I am going to be sharing my version of the two!
*Drum rolls Please*

A gorgeous way to dress up for an evening out, brunch or just drinks- this combination is classy! And Chic! And Feminine!

You can of course personalise the look! With wedges and your hair in a pony tail.Maybe braid them or a loose bun would give you that extra oomph, depending upon the occasion! Tremendously versatile, this look is sure to get those coveted ‘wows’ form everyone around you! Plus the colour palette is sober and chic!

Hope you enjoyed this lovely combination! Write to me, leave your comments, send your love!

Even though I have been blessed with good skin and hair quality, this weather does take a toll on me! Well enuf of weather cribbing, lets get started with this post!

One of those posts, where the idea of fashion speaks more than the representation of it! Got it gorgeous dress from Forever 21, which I thought needed a post of its own! So here I am- honouring of my absolute favourite buys of this summer! You ready?
But before we begin, a small positive though to help us get in the mood!

So a lovely summer dress, which fits perfectly, has an amazing print, makes you feel you living a dream needs to have a story of its own, right?!

How to Beat the Heat this Summer! *Speaking Stylishly, Of Course*

Hello, Namaste, Sat Sri Akal!Hope you doing great! Making the most of a long, dry sunny spell, are we? First things first, there is no magical way to beat the heat, unless you carry a permanent air conditioning system around you 24*7 or live in the Ice Age! We are simple talking about taking summers head on in a stylish frame of mind- hassle free, chic and effortless!
So are you with me??
Lets get started….

Keeping the tradition alive, sharing a quote/mantra for you to continue being the rockstar you are!

Well, according to me, the best way to stay cool in this dreary weather, when you are forever pining for rains, is wearing comfortable clothes! Trust me, comfort is the first rule of fashion. If you aren’t comfy, it will show right through a million dollar outfit you are wearing! Stay stylish, but not at cost of comfort and this philosophy could not hold more relevance in any other weather than summers!

Well, hot pants/shorts/skorts are your answer to beating the heat this summer! And who says it has to be boring or casual? Dress up like there is no tomorrow! A cutesy lil floral number paired with hot pink hot pants are amped up with muted gold footwear! Is there anything else you need to add to the look? NOPE!

Of course, you can add your charm, personal style and that wonderful smile of yours to it! And trust me, nobody can replicate your magic!

That is all for now! I hope you all liked this fun and flirty way of dressing up! If you did, write to me and if you did not, write to me your suggestions!

Until Next Time,

Glam Up Desi Style!

Holaa! How you all keeping up? Existing or Enjoying? Well, since i am from India, we are putting up with a harsh, dry summer spell…. But we do have occasional spells of blissful rains, every once in a while! Although monsoon is just around the corner, you know how it feels like waiting for it……

So here I am, back with a new post! Well this one was shot sometime around Diwali(October) last year, but somehow missed posting it! Annnddd it is one of my favourite looks so I am pretty excited to share it with you all! Well its festive, glamorous and stunning! But before we begin, keeping up with the ritual, would love to share a nice, peppy thought with you… so it goes!

Coming back to my dress up post! This one is ethnic, but modern in its style! The colour is quite experimentative, but the over all look just sets it right(make up and accessories, of course)

*Drum Rolls please!!*

So this steel grey suit in itself is quite charming, but adorns a whole new direction when paired with pastel earrings and a nice bright lip colour! Even though the colour leans towards a shade of blue in the pictures, but trust me its more of a greyish-blue colour, with a very simple duppatta and not too heavy kameez!

well, the make up was bright and fresh- no too much work on the eyes, maybe loads of mascara-yes! A nice big red full lip(Mac Ruby Woo is an elixir, trust me)! Pastel jewelry, which I bought from an exhibition and a pair of nice bright red Punjabi Juttis/Mojaris! And you are good to go!

I hope you all liked this ethnic look! If you did, please show your love in the comments!
Till next time
